#BringMerryBack with House of Fraser

‘Tis the season to be jolly. (I’m all festive’d out and I haven’t even put my Christmas tree up yet – yes, seriously!)

Christmas is a time of giving, but that usually means that we forget to treat ourselves. But don’t fret, House of Fraser have come up with a way to help you keep the sparkle in your life throughout the entire present-buying process.

I got to join the team for an intimate dinner (if you follow me on all my social media you might’ve just seen it) and to kick off the festive season in real style. I scrubbed up, headed to the 40th floor of the Gherkin in London and enjoyed a Christmas dinner with some other bloggers – including a cocktail making masterclass and a gift-wrapping extravaganza.

The whole point of the evening was to remind us all that ourselves are ultimately the most important person to be thinking of throughout December. We got given a chance to see what is available and how we could please ourselves with some delights from their latest merry collection.

The gift I chose to get for myself is this stunning knit from Howick (available in-store and online). With the weather taking a massive turn this week, I thought it best to treat myself to something that I know would be needed over the next couple of months.

I’m a huge fan of soft-knit, fitted jumpers that can be thrown on with anything – I styled mine with a denim shirt underneath for a more smart look – but it can definitely be an addition to a Christmas party suit or a more casual setup.

As part of the event, there was a little gift from the guys over at HoF to help spread the festive mood throughout the evening. The goody bag included a chunky-knit jumper from Label Lab, a luxury leather cologne from Aramis and a card-holder (which I’ve wanted for what feels like a lifetime) from Kenneth Cole.

All of the gifts are essentials for every man this time of year, comprising of a special and those all important stocking fillers.

So that was my evening kicking off my festive period in style and bringing my findings to you. House of Fraser are the ones to call, whether it be for someone else or you (go on, you know you want to treat yourself – your secret is safe with me!)

Happy holidays.
